Each year we love to spread the Christmas cheer amongst local charities by donating Christmas presents.
This year, we’re supporting Chelsea’s Angels.
See how we got involved below.
When Chelsea passed away her parents set up Chelsea’s Angels in memory of Chelsea, to help raise funds for families whose children have been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and other cancers.
Chelsea’s Angels Children’s Cancer charity are hoping to make up 150 boxes of Christmas gifts to deliver to the children’s cancer ward’s Christmas party at Leicester Tigers Ground on Sunday 8th December 2019.
Chelsea’s Angels came to our attention when they entered our charity competition, #MHCharityComp this year.
Our charity committee then decided to help out this great charity and put big smiles on the children’s faces this Christmas.
We promoted the appeal to colleagues within the business using posters and emails. Combined with the assistance of social media, our families and friends also donated many Christmas toys and treats.
Siobhan Meekins, our Marler Haley Charity Committee Leader said:
“We always love to do something special around Christmas time for charities, especially for people that may not be able to enjoy Christmas as much as they would like to.
"Chelsea’s Angels are a great local charity and came to our attention after entering our charity competition.
"We hope that everything we have managed to get together for the boxes will put a smile on the children’s faces.”
Michelle from Chelsea’s Angels was just as delighted with our efforts:
“Chelsea's Angels would like to say a huge thank you Marler Haley and everyone that donated and supported our Christmas Eve Box Appeal.
"We are hoping to deliver 150 Christmas Eve boxes and it's looking very hopeful we will achieve this with everyone's amazing support.
"The smiles we see when we deliver these boxes is just truly lovely and makes a huge difference to these extremely amazing and brave children whilst their fighting a huge battle. Thank you once again, it really is very kind of you all."
