Exhibition Stands

A great exhibition stand turns floor space into footfall. Whether you have a 2x2m shell scheme or a 6m space-only booth, the right stand gives your brand height, presence and a professional finish - and packs down to travel to the next event. Every Marler Haley exhibition stand is designed for self-build (no contractors, no specialist skills) and printed in-house in the UK, with prices from £299 for a fabric backwall up to full LED lightbox stands. Buy outright if you exhibit regularly, or hire a stand for one-off shows.

How to choose the right exhibition stand for your space

The stand type that works best for you depends on three things: your stand format, how much floor space you have, and how often you exhibit.

Shell scheme stand (assigned walls, standard shell): Your walls are already there - you just need to brand them. Shell scheme graphics clip directly onto the aluminium frame and keep your floor clear for counters, furniture, and display accessories. This is typically the most cost-effective starting point for first-time exhibitors.

Space-only or open stand: Without assigned walls, you'll need a freestanding backdrop. A fabric display stand or pop-up stand gives you a branded backwall in minutes. If you're exhibiting regularly and want something more premium, a self-build modular system using seamless fabric panels creates a fully custom look that packs down and reconfigures for your next show.

Adding height: If you're in a large open hall and want to be seen from across the floor, a hanging display suspended above your stand adds visibility no backwall can match. Note that hanging displays typically require organiser approval, so check with your show before ordering.

Exhibiting multiple times a year: Reusability is worth building into your decision from the start. Systems with replaceable graphics - such as Fastframe™, Formulate, and Modulate™ - let you update your artwork between shows without replacing the hardware.

Not sure which format suits your show? Call our team on 0800 072 7742 - we're happy to advise.

Completing your exhibition stand

The stand itself is the backdrop. What you put in front of it determines how well your team can work the space.

Exhibition counters give your team a base to work from - useful for lead capture, product demonstrations, or simply having somewhere to put a laptop. Most of our counters are fabric-wrapped and flat-pack for easy transport.

Literature holders keep brochures, data sheets, and flyers organised and accessible to visitors without cluttering your counter space.

Printed tablecloths are one of the easiest ways to brand a trestle or meeting table at low cost - particularly useful if you're working within a tight budget or a shell scheme space.

If you're putting together a full stand package, take a look at our exhibition stand bundles - combinations of hardware and accessories selected to work together.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an exhibition stand cost?

Marler Haley exhibition stands start from around £299 for a fabric backwall. Pop-up and FASTFRAME™ shell-scheme kits start from approximately £1,285–£1,590, while full LED lightbox stands start from £4,500.

Bundles can save around 10% compared with buying the elements separately.

What is the difference between a pop-up and a modular exhibition stand?

A pop-up stand is a single, quick-build backwall. A modular exhibition stand is a reconfigurable system with components that can be rearranged, expanded, or reduced to suit different stand sizes across multiple events.

Modular stands are generally more flexible for regular exhibitors.

Can I set up an exhibition stand myself?

Yes. All our exhibition stands are designed for self-build, with numbered components and clear instructions.

Most stands can be set up in minutes, with no tools required or with a single support rod. No contractors are needed.

Should I buy or hire an exhibition stand?

Buying is usually more cost-effective if you exhibit two or more times. Hiring is better suited to one-off shows or for anyone who wants a fully managed delivery, installation, and dismantling service.

What size exhibition stand do I need?

Match your stand to your booked floor space, whether that is a shell scheme, typically 2x2m or 3x3m, or a space-only stand.

Our systems cover common allocations, from a single backwall to a wrapped 10m space. Our team can recommend the right size for your event.
