5 Easy Fundraising Ideas for Work

We love supporting charities and we’re so excited to tell you about our plans for 2019 while sharing our fundraising ideas for work at the same time!

easy fundraising ideas for work

Below, are 5 easy and proven office fundraising ideas that our charity committee have planned so far for 2019. Try these office fundraising ideas for work yourself and let us know how you get on:

Our workplace fundraising ideas for 2019:

1. Take on an active challenge

On Friday the 10th May, we’re taking part in the 10K Waendel Walk in Wellingborough. The International Waendel Walk is a 3-day event with a choice of walking routes to suit all ages and abilities, starting from 5k to 42k. This year is its 40th year!

There are many active challenges that you can take part, ranging from walking to running or doing the Tough Mudder challenge! The charity that you’re supporting may already be organising an event that you can join in – so it’s worth asking them to find out.

2. Organise an outdoor fun day

Fundraising is not just for the workplace, why not get family and friends involved too.

We’re organising an outdoor fun day in the Summer for everyone to join in and enjoy. There will be a BBQ, cake sale, raffles and sporting events for everyone to have fun and raise money for a good cause. Fingers crossed for good weather...

Why not use what’s already accessible in your area? Do you have access to a sports hall or pitch that you can hire out? You could even contact your County Council to see if you can use a country park.

3. Charity lunchescharity lunch

We love our food at Marler Haley, so what better way to raise money for charity then to eat lots of food.

Every month someone in the office will organise lunch. We’ve already had chickpea and spinach korma, feta couscous and we’re planning to have pasta Bolognese next month. All profits made from the lunches go towards our chosen charities.

Setting up lunches is so easy to do, especially if you have the facilities in your workplace to cook it there. Plus, it’s healthier and saves you money.

4. Set up a tuck shop

We love treating ourselves to the odd biscuit or cake with our cups of tea at work, so we have decided to open a tuck shop in our office. Although the profits through sales may be small, every little helps!

5. Craft handmade Christmas gifts

Do you have any crafty staff members?

We have several people in our team that love to craft in their spare time. They will be making Christmas cards, decorations, hats, scarves, gloves and much more to help raise money for charity.

About our new Charity Committee

This year we’ve formed a new charity committee. Our committee includes: Siobhan, Beth and Claire.
They went to work straight away and put a vote out to the team to choose which charities everyone would like to support. There were 19 different charities nominated! In the end, it was decided to choose one national and local charity: Mind and Animals in Need.

Mind offer advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem and Mind campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Animals in Need is a rescue organisation run solely by volunteers, attending animal casualties in the Northamptonshire area. They provide veterinary treatment, care for and rehabilitate animals until they can be released or re-homed.
